I know I know it's been way to long. A lot has happened so I try and post a little about everything. I'm hoping to get it updated before baby sis gets here. That's what we've been calling her because we can't pick a name, we're hoping that when we see her we'll know.

It's time for a new post. I just don't really know what to post. Life is the same, things are good.

Kinley in definitely in her " terrible twos" I wouldn't say she's terrible she just really likes to push her limits. She either has to help me or fight me on everything. Which means that things take three times longer to get done. She is also a very inquisitive child, she has a hundred questions about each new thing, not to mention having to see how everything works. Then to top it all off, half the time she doesn't take a nap. Other than not getting things done and having no personal time we're learning and having tons of fun together.

Things with the baby are great she's growing like she should, she's much more active than Kinley was at this point anyway; I'm really hope that isn't an indicator of her future behavior. I've been working a getting what will be her room emptied so I can start painting while I still can.

Jared is still working a ton of overtime so that means we don't see him much. He's been working on the basement with what little time he has, we're hoping to get it done before baby gets here. Jay and Brandon came last weekend and helped put up sheet rock. It makes me really excited for it to be done.

I've been trying to put together a scrapbook retreat for some time in the next couple months but can't seem to find enough people to do it. If you or some one you know might be interested let me know. It would be two nights at bears lake, for around 150.00 a person everything but transportation included.

That's all for now

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Kinley and I made cookies, it was really fun. We had a few different things to put on them and a couple different colors of frosting. I put the frosting in bags for her so she could squeeze in on, only she didn't understand that you need to move the bag around so you do not get nice big piles. And every cookie had to have some of each decoration. When we finished i gave her one to eat and she licked the frosting off and ask for more frosting.

  1. Notice the piles?

Well It's a Girl!!! Every thing looks good, she looks healthy and strong. I can't get the CD to work so I'll post pictures as soon as I get them to work.

Not much going on here just counting down the day's until Thursday, that's when we get to find out if the baby is a Boy or Girl! I'm so happy to find out, I really don't have any idea which. Either will be great for different reasons. I would love for Kinley to have a sister, but a boy would be new and fun as well.

It's been fun to ask what people think, Kyle totally thinks it's a boy, Nana and Grandma Jean think it's a girl, Kevin also thinks a girl. I'm not sure what Grandpa Jay, Michelle, or Brandon think. I think Papa thinks a boy but I'm not sure.

that's it for now until Thursday!!!!

Bountiful Baskets

A friend of my was telling me about this co-op thing she does for fruits and veggies. So I decided to try it because we could really eat more of both. i was so excited to get our first one today. I can't believe how great it is. Let's see if i can remember every thing we got, roman lettuce, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, broccoli, spaghetti squash, bananas, apples, oranges, three mangoes, strawberries, pears, plus anything else I forgot. In all a full laundry basket of food for 15.50. Kinley thought it was the coolest thing to see all that food and to help put it away, she took a bite out of the broccoli bunch, and apple while asking to eat the bananas, pears and strawberries. I loved letting her eat strawberries for breakfast, she got her sweet and I got mt healthy. I've also always wanted to try spaghetti squash but never been brave enough to buy it, so if any one know any good ways to eat let me know.

So Kinley's been asking for days to paint. She got paints for Christmas and really wanted to use them. So tonight I let her!!!

This is her "smile" face, she thinks she's Cheesing it.

Who's idea was it to get her paint?

Things are good here at the Streator house!!! Kinley understand who Santa is and what he does. When you ask her what she wants him to bring her she gives a different response everytime. The best was "Ummm... Dinner!", we also got "Cooks", baby siter", yes siter not sister. and the most common "Presents!"

My mom start a new tradition this year we had a ginger bread house decorating contest. It was really fun. We split into couples and went to it. Then a Good friend of the families came over to Judge. Kevin and Kari won. The winning part was the payday Chimney, which was all my idea. Jared had made one with candy bricks for our house so i didn't want to use the pre-done one. Next year i'm not sharing any ideas. It's on like Donkey Kong!!! Their house was pertty cool, they all were.

We also got a dog, not something we had planned on doing for another couple years but it just worked out. She really cute sweet and Kinley really likes her. We named her Izzy, she's some kind of yorkie poodle we think, but no curl at all.

And last I'm starting to feel better!!! I had Dr appointment yesterday Kinley and I got to see the baby again she thought that was "cool." We tried to see what it was but the cord was between the legs so me get to wait five more weeks, Jan 28th.

Lot's to update!!!

Thanksgiving was fun. Michelle came home for a week and we got to spend some time with her which was really nice. Kinley was so excited to see her, Michelle didn't even have to ask for a hug. Poor Michelle was the only one that Kinley wanted when she was around so she got lots of Kinley time. My dad's parents came in from LA and stayed for a few day, It was nice to see them and spend time with his side of the family(my aunt and cousin also came for dinner), we only see them once a year at best.

Kinley liked cooking her own food too.

Notice anyone missing from this picture? She's off helping cook the real food at this point.

Kinley's Birthday was lots of fun. She just loved opening presents and getting to have new things to play with. I was surprised to see that she know what to do with them, she just tore into that paper and through it to the side. We have such wonderful families, she got totally spoiled.

She did not want to blow out the second Candle

I thought we had a two year old not a teenager!

A couple months back we mentioned that we were working on a few projects and one is far enough to share... We're having another BABY. Everything is going great the Dr. said we're past the scary part. My issues in the past haven't been a problem this time so that 's really great. I've been supper sick which they keep telling me is a good thing. This bundle of joy will here mid to end of June so we should have a fun summer. Kinley is really excited. I'm not sure she totally gets it but she asks me every day were the baby's at and if its happy. She likes to kiss and pat my belly, and when I get sick she wants to know if the baby's sick too. When we ask her about the baby she gets really excited, and happy but if you ask about her brother or sister she doesn't understand.

Happy Halloween!!!

We had tons of fun this year. There are so many great things to do. On Friday my Mom and Dad took Kinley to Gardener Village where she got to ride a horse and see other animals. Saturday we had tons of fun too. We went trick or treating at the mall and then we met Grandma Jean and Grandpa Jay at Lee's where they do a little thing for kids with a spook alley and all. We also went down town where you can trick or treat at the shops. Then it was time to come home and go around the neighborhood. Kinley started to get it. She would only say "treat"not the trick part, she knew she wanted a treat.

After a treat that she clearly enjoyed. Now she looked like Wolverine.

This Face tells it all. I don't think she totally understood what was going on. This was the third house we went to and she was so excited they kept giving her candy. After a few more houses she started to understand, so we'd go up to the door and she'd knock and if they didn't come she say "Hey!!" then when they came she would just say "Please treat." At one house there was another kid there first so she just walked up and said "Move." When we were all done we came home and she got to help hand out candy. She had more fun doing that then she did getting it herself. As soon as the bell rang she would yell "Kids" and run to the door. She wound then take her time picking one piece and putting it in each of their bags. She still gets excited when the bell rings "kids" and goes running.

I had a great Birthday! Thanks to all of you that made it special, with your thoughts and messages. I totally got spoiled. Jared got me a mini Laptop, Maybe that will help me to post more not that we have much to post about. Things are about the same, Kinley loves School I wish she could go more its great for both of us. I think we're going to start working on the basement soon, I can't wait to get it done and to have a family room. Everything else is going well, just getting ready for the Holidays. We have a great idea for our Families, hopefully know one else will do it too. Until next time Have a great Life!!!

Not to much going on, things are good. We had a stressful couple of weeks the did some layoffs a Jared's work so that was a big part of it. He wasn't one of the people let go but when there are only seven or eight people there and two are the bosses and one is the bosses son, you start to worry. As long as things don't get worse then we should be okay. Added to that we have several projects in the works that are all taking time and money. the Holidays start early for us with three birthdays on October and two in November, and I'm so excited for everything.

We got to go to Sun Ten last month it was really fun. I even learned to ski, (it's a really big deal that I've been a Streator for six years now and didn't know how to ski. I'd post some pictures but no one got any bummer ;) Here are some from the rest of the trip.

Kinley and I got to go to the Zoo with our cute neighbor and her kids. It was so much fun. Kinley loved the animals. she would run from spot to spot saying ohhh, before she even saw anything.

Kinley Started a preschool lab on campus too. She loves it. When the teachers come to get the kids she's the first one to go, half the time she doesn't even want to wait for them. This is from her first day.

Our Big Girl!!!

Kinley went potty on the potty today. I got her a little potty a few months back and have a had it out for her to get used to. She's really figuring it out. When I help Emmy (the girl I babysit) go potty Kinley has to go too, and that means every thing pants off and all. Kinley has been waking up dry a lot lately so when she was again today I decided to try so I put her on her potty and turned the water on real slow, which hasn't seem to effect her before but I thought it was worth a try. And it worked she went. I'm totally aware this is a fluke but that okay because she's getting the idea and learning the feeling of having to go and going. It was a bitter sweet moment, "Our little girl is growing up:)", " Our little girl is growing up:("
